Sister M. Canisia was born on October 17, 1931 in Ostbevern. She entered our Congregation on August 12, 1955 and made her first profession of vows on May 3, 1958.

Sister Canisia worked as a nurse and medical-technical assistant in various hospitals. In the spirit of St. Francis she devoted herself to the service of the sick selflessly with great sense of responsibility.

Her sister, our Sister M. Ambrosia, faithfully accompanied her in the last few days. Thankfully and with a ready heart, Sister M. Canisia returned her earthly life to the protective hands of God on March 28, 2017.

We trust in God's goodness and we firmly believe that God will receive her into His eternal kingdom, where there is neither pain nor grief. In gratitude we thank her in prayer.
