Sr. M. Mercy
“God called and I responded”
I, Sr. Mercy, was born in the southern part of Tamil Nadu in India. I am the third child of my parents whom they wanted to be a girl and it so happened. I am from a middle class family. My father is a farmer and my mother is a housewife. My parents’ devotion, faith and family prayer inspired me to choose this way of life.
My Vocation
After completing my higher secondary school, I, along with my companion Sr. Lucia, joined our congregation and was professed on January 25, 1993. On October 31, 1999, God’s boundless love made me HIS OWN FOREVER as I made final profession.
My Education
I completed my graduation as a junior in 1998, Post-Graduation in 2004, and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in 2008.
My Mission
I had been in the accounting department from the time I was professed until 2007. After completing my B.Ed I started my teaching ministry at Nanpara. At present I am teaching in St. Francis School, Pithora, in class five and my students are 10 to 12 years old. I teach them English grammar and English literature. I enjoy teaching the students and being with them.
Conclusion
I thank my God for all his goodness to me. God has called me to serve his people, and I am most happy to be his chosen one and give my life completely at the service of his people.
